We are happy to inform you that Barchiel has found a rescue that will find him a happy forever home. Sioux Empire Pit Rescue is an all volunteer 501C3 rescue group in Sioux Falls South Dakota. Sioux Empire’s mission is to promote responsible Pit Bull ownership, provide breed education, combat pet overpopulation, and find qualified homes for sound Pit Bull dogs in South Dakota.
Barchiel will be traveling from Edinburg, Texas all the way up to Sioux, South Dakota. This little guy is moving up state! Joy Benson has directed the transport operation for Barchiel. He will travel by car. Eight people are involved in a seven-state transport for him.
We are still asking for your help to cover the costs. So far, the online fundraiser has lost momentum and we are asking for your help to make this happen. Find it in your hearts to give a little for dear Barchiel. This has been a long journey towards a happy ending for our now happy little friend!
So far, you have helped raise $696 for Barchiel. We still need $1,500 to cover all the miles he has to travel and medical expenses. Please give kindly. He still has a long way to go to a happy ending.

Outrages acts of animal cruelty in South Africa.
It is time that the South African Government stops sticking its head in the sand and stamps out the injustice being done to animals. Stupidity and ignorance on the part of the government is not acceptable.
Yes there is a very large population of under educated South Africans but does that give them the right to torture animals just to do it? The people whether poor or uneducated are just randomly torturing for fun. This is horrendous and they need to be punished. They are taking a life of an animal that has done nothing but try to co-exist in a State that is poverty stricken. Why allow this torture to continue?
If these random acts of abuse and cruelty continue it will manifest to the next generation and so on. These tortures are unnecessary and cruel and without any consequence to the people doing these acts it will never stop. Poverty and lack of a good education is a poor excuse for the South African Government to allow such atrocities to continue.
The South African Government needs to be held accountable for these acts of violence. They need to charge these people, no matter where they live with a fine and possibly incarceration. If this was done maybe after a few fines were levied the abusers would realize that the deed does not justify the added burden and stress on their families.
Being underprivileged or undereducated is not an excuse. Laws need to be put into place now. The longer the South African Government turns its head and looks away from these abusers the more abusers will pop up and continue to torture, maim and kill the animals. Every day that the government does nothing, more animals are horribly tortured; some for pure fun, some because there is nothing else to do, some just because they can. How sad is that?
The United States has many organizations going to Africa to help the people, why can’t the South African justice system step up to the plate and try to implement today a law to help these innocent animals?
It is time to do something. Wake up and do what it right. Stop the animal abuse in South Africa. It starts with your justice system, do the right thing and do something now. Break the cycle.

Puppy mills are a breeding factory, mills are a more politically polite word to use. It is a factory where dogs are kept in cramped, locked cages with the soul purpose of pumping out puppies. Female dogs are usually bred 2 times a year. At that rate, they usually burn out by age 5 and at that time they are put to death. These breeder dogs never feel the tender touch of a hand, the love of a person, or have any human contact. Their soul existence is to breed and breed again. They have never been walked, never even treated like a dog, rather a piece of flesh that makes a ton of money for the owner of the mill/factory. Puppy millers can make more than $300,000 each year by GROWING puppies. Note the word growing!
About 1 million breeder dogs are confined in puppy mills throughout the country. These puppies are sold to pet stores all over the country. Did you know that 99% of all puppies sold in pet stores come from puppy mills and that 100% of these puppies have parasites when bought. 500,000 puppies are born in puppy mills and sold in pet stores every year in the United States. In America alone there are over 35,000 pet stores .
Puppy mills have been around since the 1960’s, It’s time to close them all. It’s time to breed dogs properly, or better still ADOPT don’t shop.
Puppy mills should be outlawed everywhere. They are cruel, inhumane and a disgusting way to make a ton of money off of a dog. We the public need to realize where the cute puppies that you see in the pet stores are coming from. We the public need to stop buying from pet stores and make everywhere aware about the evil things that occur at a puppy mill.
ADOPT, CLOSE DOWN THE PUPPY MILLS
